Suede - Sweden

Bravo.

Sweden announced this year that they would not allow the construction of Muslim mosques as Saoudi Arabia will not allow the construction of Christian churches. One can understand...
On other hand, France has just inaugurated the biggest mosque in France in Strasbourg, and the immans in France have called upon all Muslims to show restraint in front of the film "Innocence of l'Islam", and they were heard. Congratulations.
In my opinion, Islam has two issues:
- the charia or Islamic law must be updated to take into account the universal charter of Women and Children. We need a new interpretation IN WRITING which condemns terrorism and does not leave any more leeway to extremists to choose the passages which will bring them more recruits...
- expanding in the world cannot be an objective at any cost, justifying any action including terrorism: if Islam brings happiness to all its members, then... all the Village will become Muslim. Unfortunately, to this day, there are a lot of reasonable Muslims wanting to leave Muslim countries to come to secular countries than the opposite, and not the opposite... What do the reasonable imams think of that...?

Until this update is issued, countries which do not agree with the charia in its existing form have started to exclude its application in their constitution or fundamental laws, rightly so.

Soleil levant / Rising sun

Japan has announced an objective of zero nuclear production of electricity by year 2030.
Japan has three nuclear plants in construction, which will be authorized to work for 15 years or so.
In fact... the urgent measures to be taken by Japan are simpler to analyze:
- The recent nuclear catastrophe was due to the a tsunami, not to the earthquake as such.
- The east coast is facing a major seismic faults which will threaten them forever with
a tsunami.
The West coast (facing China) is far less exposed or at minimum to a tsunami.
- The majority of the nuclear plants in Japan are on the west coast. So they should close as soon as possible, not in 20 years, the 10 or 20% of the nuclear plants which are on the east coast.
And... stop immediately those of the three under construction which might be on the east coast...?

Pakistan

Pakistan's minister of transport has offered a personnel reward of 100,000 US dollars to anyone killing the American producer of the film "Innocence of Islam". He also invited the Talibans to participate to this man's hunt.
Remember... Pakistan has nuclear weapons.
What's next... a Pakistan's minister giving a few nuclear mini-bombs to the Talibans to settle an issue they would have with India, Israel or the USA...?
And by the way, how come India and Pakistan were allowed to get nuclear weapons in the first place? what were the USA or the United Nations nuclear inspectors doing...?

Iran Israel... une seconde... / let me think...

The president of Iran has recently said two things worth analysing...

- The nuclear agency of the United Nations has passed on to Israel all information regarding Iran nuclear facilities.
So he asked that the nuclear agency of the United Nations passed on to Iran all information they have regarding Israel nuclear production or storage facilities.
He should have said: Iran has signed the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons treaty, Israel has not. What is good for Israel must be good for Iran, so... we will get out of the treaty of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons starting tomorrow...
I see... let me think...

- Iran has been around for ten thousand years, Israel has only been in the Middle East for the last 70 years or so.
So he concluded that Israel should be erased out of the map of the Middle East.
Israel existed there 2,000 years ago, and their rebirth in the Middle East was approved by the United Nations in 1947, the same United Nations the President of Iran is getting ready to address this week. So he should be prevented from talking at the UnitedNations, right?
He should have said: the birth certificate of 1947 delivered by the United Nationscalls for two states, Israel and Palestine, and for an international city Jerusalem. Where is the international city of Jerusalem?... Where is the state of Palestine?...
I see... let me think...

Wait till he announces that, since the prime minister of Israel took the liberty of supporting officially the Republican candidate at American presidential election, he will make a gesture towards Israel, and also support officially the Republican candidate...
I see... let me think...

Mariage / Wedding

The cardinal Barbarin (Roman Catholic church) from Lyon in France has warned against the wedding of the homosexuals, as it could lead in the future to incest being accepted. I'll just have one question: why are Roman Catholic priests still not able to get married...? not enough scandals yet...?
I am in favour of letting priests get married if they choose to (same position recommended by the Cardinal of Milan), but against the use of the word "wedding" for the people of the same sex, who are still entitled to the same protection recognized to a couple made of a man and a woman. The English language should be short of words to designate an homosexual union?

PS: While in Lebanon, the Pope has just said that the Holy Land could host everyone, Jews, Christians and Muslims. He forgot to say... and also the Pope and his administration, who have no business being in Rome since quite a bit of time...

France wants to re-introduce morality classes, one hour per week. Some say it kind of smells a bit the IIIrd republic, against the clergy...? but I agree that the young people do not find at home the teachings minima needed for a happy social life.
I propose that, during the last trimester, this hour of morality class be used to discover all the religions of the Village. Any absence of the morality class or of the discovery of religions class must be punished... as well as any violence against the teacher, as was done by a Moroccan student in Bordeaux last week following a class on religion and politics (he is going to be judged by a tribunal for violence and hits). And cellular phones and other texto machines must be forbidden in the classrooms, to relearn the communication face to face...

Israel Palestine

The prime minister of Israel has gone on record recently to say that the Arab countries which expelled Jews after the 1948 war will have to compensate them before he can sign a peace treaty with the Palestinians. He also said that the compensation for an expelled Jew should be far more than for an expelled Palestinian as the lands and properties they left were of a far greater value... Sorry, but...
- The value of a property right now in many Arab countries is far less than in Israel, until the Arab spring (gone), Arab winter (in progress) and Arab summer (to come) are behind them.
- The100,000 Jews expelled versus 1 or 2 millions of Palestinians expelled will surely end up as a draw for financial settlement around the negotiating table...
- You can only negotiate with your enemy, providing it has a recognised authority. The United Nations proclaimed the birth of Israel and Palestine in 1947 with the same birth certificate. Israel, the United States and all the countries at the United Nations should recognize both states immediately, and let them negotiate borders, capitals, exiles etc. Since Israel's capital was put in Tel Aviv, Palestine must accept that their capital is not in Jerusalem until the future negotiations are conducted. The recognition of a state of Palestine by Israel and the United States is a must before any meaningful negotiation can start. After this mandatory first step, I predict that the negotiation on all pending issues will not take very long, say... less than 10 centuries...

Ola, Europe...

Mr Barosso, the president of the European Commission has convinced Germany and France to go further into a union of monetary, bank and commercial rules. They should start with the foundations... and standardize in whole of Europe:
- taxes on people and companies,
- retirement conditions,
- a minimum salary in Europe that each country can surpass of course...
- closing of the financial casinos to re-direct the cash towards the companies which will be able to invest and create jobs.
Mr Barosso keeps walking on his head and refuses to take the bull by its horns... but since he is Spanish, I am sure he could do better...

Londres / London video

.

If Paul McCartney could be selected for the opening ceremony of the Olympic games, and paid 2 dollars apparently (plenty enough in my opinion...), I would have selected this artist for the closing ceremony, and then he could have been allowed to ask for spectators' pennies after the show...?

An American citizen has posted on the Internet a film "Innocence of Islam" which gives a very negative image of the Muslim religion and its prophet. Apparently the sound track was dubbed without the knowledge of the actors. And nothing is clear regarding the name of the producer (Bacille) and of the distributor (Klein), their original religion or converted, the double nationality (American and Israel), and the origin of the funds to make the film.
The film generated demonstrations in many Arab countries, against the American embassies of course, and by extension against other embassies of the western world. The film was quickly taken back from YouTube (there must be millions of copies by now...).
The secretary of State Mrs Clinton, has announced that, "from a personnel point of view"... she had found the film shameful and unacceptable.
That's new now, she cannot speak anymore in the name of the United States...?
And she cannot ask the American Justice to open an inquiry for incitation to racial or religious hatred feelings? or are these actions not punishable, or not anymore, in the United States...?
A condemnation by the American Justice in the immediate future would be more than welcome to calm the people in the Village.

Mini Canada

The English Canadian media are banging on drums again with the threat of an independent Quebec... Ridiculous, but it pleases the conservative and liberal parties as it keeps the media busy, away from the real issues...
In spring 2012, the NDP political party (centre left) laminated the liberal party and the  parti Quebecois at the Canadian federal elections: clearly the Quebecois did not want an independent Quebec!
The Quebec voted in September for their provincial assembly and they voted against their actual liberal prime minister to underline his refusal to investigate corruption in the public services for more than 2 years.
The Parti Quebecois obtained 33% of the votes, ie 2% less than in 2008, on the other hand a new party CAQ which campaigned for cleaning up the public services obtained 27% of the votes. 32% of the votes still went to the liberal party, by lack of choice... and conservatism. These two non-independent parties represent 59% of the votes, ie enough to control all the proposals of the government...!
People in Quebec in favour of an independent Quebec represent around 35%, ie 65% against... so please stop the banging on drums...
Neither the conservative party, majority and government in the Canadian assembly, nor the official opposition party (NDP - left center) had candidates at the Quebec provincial elections...!
They have the right to remain silent regarding the conclusions of the latest Quebec elections...

On the other hand, the banging on drums of the Canadian media for the independence of Quebec allows them not to write on the loss of image of the Canada in the Village, bit more every day, or the lack of leader and ideas of the liberal party...
Canada was a country appreciated in the whole Village for its neutrality, its respect of nature, its mediations, and never at war with any country in the Village. The image is changing with the conservative prime minister, the purchase of the American F35 fighter jets without any request for tenders, the polluting extraction of the tar sands in Alberta and the abandon of all diplomatic relations with Iran.

Canada must understand that it will not exist without Quebec, so it must defend the French language in the whole country by insuring a fully bilingual country at all levels. And the Queen of England might not be the best leader to push for and make this goal happen...
But if Canada does not want Quebec anymore... just have to send an Email to Quebec, with a proposed date...! And the Canadians tired of their prime minister will then be able to choose between:
- Quebec,
- Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, provinces becoming new states of the United States,
- A mini Canada led by Ontario. Keep this blog and read it again later...
Keep this blog... read it again later...

Chaise vide... aux Etats Unis / Empty chair... in the United States

The Democrat and Republican conventions have chosen their candidates for the election of the American President. No surprises...
- Mr Romney and Mr Obama are going to represent the hopes of 300 millions of Americans. Both want to defend in priority the average American family. So far, so good....
- The Democrats want to cancel the fiscal exemptions which benefit the richest people and the petroleum companies among others, but... at a level far lower than the rate applied to the average taxpayer in western Europe... They also want to keep the role of the government in ordering some major infrastructures or medical protection of the people with lower revenues. Foreign policy... shrunk to... defend Israel,... nothing anymore on straightening up the world and showing the world the example, put this on the account of the financial crisis... The Republicans are calling them... socialists, supreme insult in the United States, just below being called a communist...
- The Republicans want to reduce the role and the people in the government, which would allow them not to raise taxes. Foreign policy... shrunk to... defend Israel,... increase the military budget beyond what was requested by the army itself and prevent the Martians to land on Earth... sorry: prevent a Chinese 21st century...

Not a word from either political party on...
- gun control in the United States,
- drugs control within the United States,
- a liter of gas still under 80 cents,
- closing the financial casinos in the United States to double the cash available for the industrials to invest and create jobs,
- developing new clean energies, reducing energy consumption, acting against the warming up of the Village (it will probably come when Florida and California palm trees will grow in Alaska...)
- implementing the 1947 resolution of the United States recognizing the immediate creation of two states, Israel and Palestine,
- recognizing the international court of justice of The Hague, and abandoning the veto right at the United Nations (with all the other countries having a right of veto of course),
- a clear position on the wishy-washy stands from Iran and the non acceptable declaration of its President regarding the destruction of the state of Israel.
On all these burning issues, both candidates chose the policy of the empty chair... those who are absent always end up being proven wrong...

Last week... A few young Israeli Jews have beaten and left for dead a young Palestinian only because he was an Arab... and once they were arrested, they claimed that they would do it again if they had the opportunity.
Some Israeli Jews set on fire the door of a Christian convent, painting insults on the walls against Jesus.
The Village knows about and fights the anti-Semitic actions, against the Jews and the Arabs. Are we going to invent a new word to qualify the anti-Christian and anti-Muslims actions of the extreme right in Israel, which is not even hiding, feeling supported by some of the silent population.
No country is bringing peace and happiness to their citizens and their neighbours when it is dominated exclusively by one religion. Matter to think for the Village, no...? of course the problem is with the other ones...
Secularism (non religious states) and respect of all religions are the only hope of the Village to find peace and happiness. When I say respect, I mean... not only non-violence... but respecting and accepting that there are more than one path to climb the mountain... and, that thinking that you are superior to the other religions or searching to impose your religion to the whole Village are at least as dangerous as the spreading of nuclear weapons.

Eglise Catholique de Rome / Catholic Church of Rome

Over the last 3 years, he said regarding the Catholic Church of Rome that...
- It was living two centuries back,
- Its rites were too pompous, and It must be become poor and humble again, independant from the powers in the Village,
- The scandals of pedophilia in the Church must lead to change of rules, like only ask celibate from the priests who want to choose it, and accept women as deacons,
- A woman abandoned by her husband, with children, must be welcomed and able to remarry in the Church,
- Using condoms must be authorised in many cases,
- Rules regarding family and sexuality must be debated in front a wider audience, not decided by one man only,
- Christians and Muslims must understand and respect each other.

Alright... some items proposed by Francis of Assissi or Luther are still missing, but generally speaking, he could have helped the Catholic Church of Rome make some progresses.
His name?
Carlo Maria Martini, bishop and cardinal of Milan. Welcomed successor to take the baton from... Jean XXIII and open again the doors and windows, instead of the panzer cardinal who closed them all since the arrival of Jean-Paul 2.
But Carlo knew that he was sick and did not want to be considered for the existing papal position.
He has just died, in Italy, not in Jerusalem where he had retired for many years.
Sorry... for Jerusalem, for the Catholic Church of Rome.
Only two more popes per the children of Fatima... After them, the Christians in the whole Village will probably all become Franciscans, living in harmony with the Jews, the Muslims, the Buddhists and the other religions... one can dream...
