Sakin Fidane Leyla Kurdistan

Following the First World War, the peace treaty of Sevres in 1920 officialised the dismantling of the Ottoman empire and created a country for the Kurds people, between Turkey, Armenia, Iraq and Iran. But a new treaty in 1923 forgot this country to satisfy Turkey and Armenia.
The territory where Kurds people live today is around 400,000 sq kms.
England covers around 140,000 sq kms… and France in Europe covers 550,000 sq kms.
The Kurds people are estimated today at around 20 millions. It is the ethnic group the most important in the Village without their own county. And Kurdistan has plenty of water and oil… Under these conditions, one can understand that the Kurds want to live agai in an independent country and getting fed up of not being heard, even after they created their own political party in Turkey. The chain saw cutting of Africa and the Middle East by France and England in the last century has denied the existence of many cultural entities, and is probably the main cause of many conflicts still raging on today.
The Turkish government has just re-opened the negotiations with the Kurd political party
in an attempt to stop the fights with weapons. Bravo.
But... at the same moment, yesterday in Paris, in the Information Centre for the Kurdistan, three women have been killed with one bullet in their head.
Sakin was the founder of the Kurd political party and had already been arrested and tortured in Turkey.
Fidane was officially representing Kurdistan in France, in Paris.
Leyla was dreaming of her own country.
France will find and judge the assassins. The future relations between France and the Turkish government and the independentist Kurd party will depend of the issue of the inquiry.
