Canada

Canada is second tonight Tuesday at the medals board in the Winter Olympic games in Sochi, Russia, with 9 medals (4 of them gold). But... what Canadians should be the proudest is the reaction of the Canadian coach of cross country skiing...
The Candians athletes had not qualified for the final, but he was enjoying watching the final, having been himself an athlete at many winter Olympics. Suddenly he saw a Russian skier trying to finish the course with a broken ski, without any hope for a medal. Then he raced on the snow, kneeled down near the Russian skier, and changed his ski for a canadian ski he had brought in case a Canadian skier might have needed it after an accident.
When quizzed by the media, the coach said that he had done this so that the Russian skier could finish the race with dignity in front of his home crowd.
Go Canada... for the medals, and for the Olympic sportsmanship...
