Laïcité / Secularism

.

The prime Minister of Israel had openly called the Americans to vote against the re-election of Mr Obama for President of the USA... Never heard off before in international politics... He has just done it again by saying the American government is not respecting the values of the American people...
It is about time that the President of the USA recognize the State of Palestine andd asks the Congress to do so, like 110 countries at the United Nations (out of 190), the last one being Sweden, and the next one probably France.

It is a shame that Mr Shimon Perez, Peace Nobel prize, and former President of Israel until 2014, recognized that Israel will have to recognize Palestine, but did not have the courage to do so during his mandate. One can recognize a State and fight its government, exemples by the dozen in the Village...
And it is a shame that Mr Obama, Peace Nobel prize, and actual President of the USA, never got the courage, to-date, to vote one of the numerous resolutions of the United Nations against this government of Israel and its dream of the Great Israel. Are you game Mr Obama...

If the religious extremists in Israel want to return more 2,000 years backwards, maybe we should not be surprised then that some Muslim extremist want to go back to the Middle Ages, only 1,000 years ago after all...

As long as Secularism will not be recognized as the corner stone of Peace in the Village, the Middle East will keep on fuming in its ashes, under the blowing of the religious extremists of all sides.
