L'an dernier, les Etats Unis et le Canada ont tenu a punir le gouvernement palestinien pour avoir demandé (et obtenu grâce a un vote de 90% des pays) la reconnaissance d'un état palestinien, avec statut d'observateur, d'abord a l'UNESCO, puis a l'ONU.

Ce mois-ci, les Etats Unis sont revenus sur leur colère, et ont finalement payé l'aide au budget 2012 promise au gouvernement palestinien.

Mais le ministre des affaires étrangères canadien a annoncé qu'il veut entendre de la bouche du gouvernement palestinien qu'ils ne mettront pas Israël devant la Cour Internationale de Justice avant de leur octroyer une aide de 300 million de dollars... ! Venant du même ministère des affaires étrangères qui s’était fait imprimer des cartes de visite embossées d’or et en anglais seulement, contre les standards des membres du gouvernement, et venant d’un gouvernement qui n’a recueilli que 30% des vois des Canadiens aux dernières élections, rien ne devrait plus nous étonner.

On n’achète pas une indépendance Mr le premier ministre… et le Qatar ou l’Arabie Saoudite vont sans doute se faire un plaisir de remplacer les 300 millions promis par le gouvernement canadien contre une promesse du gouvernement palestinien de… mettre en justice Israël a la Cour Internationale de Justice, pour les colonies en territoire palestinien occupé, pour la retenue abusive pendant plus d’un an des taxes perçues par Israël sur les produits exportés par la Palestine, et pour les invasions et bombardement des civils dans la bande de Gaza sans intervention préalable de la justice israélienne.

Last year, the United States and Canada did punish the Palestinian government for having asked (and obtained after a vote by 90% of the countries) the recognition of a Palestinian State, with a status of observer, first at the UNESCO, then at the United Nations.

This month, the United States calmed down and finally paid the help promised for helping the 2012 budget of the Palestinian government.

But the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs has announced that he wants to hear from the mouth of the Palestinian government that they will not put Israel in the International Court of Justice, before giving them 300 millions dollars of help for their 2013 budget…! Coming from the same Minister of Foreign Affairs who had his business cards printed in English only and with gold on the letters (against the Canadian government standards), and coming from a government which did not get more than 30% of the vote of the Canadians at last year elections, nothing should surprise us.

You can’t buy independence of a State Mr Prime Minister… and Qatar or Saudi Arabia are no doubt going to be too happy to replace the 300 millions dollars promised by the Canadian government against a promise… to put Israel in the International Court of Justice, for the illegal colonies in occupied Palestine, for abusively retaining the taxes on the products exported by Palestine, taxes that they cash in for the account of Palestine…, and for invading and bombing civilians in the Gaza territories without any preliminary hearing in front of the Justice of Israel.
