Le Honduras vient de ratifier le traité sur l interdiction des armes nucléaires voté aux Nations Unies. Ce traité avait été approuvé en 2017 par 122 pays; depuis il avait été signé par 84 pays, et enfin... un 50eme pays vient officiellement de le ratifier... il va donc enfin entrer en vigueur le 21 janvier 2021!
L'organisation non gouvernementale qui avait rédigé ce traite avait reçu le prix Nobel de la paix en 2017! Ce traité interdit l'utilisation, la production, le stockage, le stationnement, le développement, et la menace d'utilisation des armes nucléaires.
Une victoire pour l'humanité avait déclaré le directeur de la Croix Rouge. Les armes nucléaires vont donc disparaître!... minute... pas si vite...!
Seul le conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies aurait le droit d'imposer des sanctions, mais... les 5 pays membres du Conseil de sécurité n'ont toujours pas signé ce traité (USA, Russie, Chine, Grande Bretagne et France), tout comme tous les pays qui ont l'arme nucléaire. Le traité va donc permettre "au minimum" de stigmatiser officiellement les pays qui ne l'appliqueront pas.
Le traité permettra, peut-être, au Village de connaître un jour un monde sans armes nucléaires... parlez en vos enfants, pour qu'ils puissent en parler a leurs enfants. Qui en parleront a leurs enfants... Qui...

Le budget militaire des USA est environ 3 fois celui de la Chine (qui elle a 17 pays sur ses frontières) et environ 10 fois plus que la Russie. Les États Unis ont principalement deux voisins terrestres, le Mexique et le Canada, et deux voisins maritimes Cuba et Haïti... faut bien se défendre...?! mais bon c'est vrai que les missiles longue portée font de la Terre un Village... raison de plus pour changer les mentalités...

Honduras has just ratified the treaty forbidding nuclear weapons signed at the United Nations. This treaty was approved in 2017 by par 122 countries, and since then it was signed by 84 countries, and finally... a 50th country has officially ratified the treaty... so it will be in force finally starting January 21 2021!
The NGO which had prepared this treaty received the Nobel prize in 2017! This treaty forbids the utilisation, the production, the storage, the parking, the development and the threat to use nuclear weapons.
A victory for Humanity had declared the general manager of the Red Cross. So nuclear weapons are going to disappear!... wait a minute...!
Only the security council of the United Nations could impose sanctions, but... the 5 countries composing it have not yet signed the treaty (USA, Russia, China, Great Britain and France), as well as all the countries which have nuclear weapons. So the treaty will "at least" allow to officially call bad boys or girls the countries which will not apply it.
The treaty will allow, maybe. the Village to know one day a world without nuclear weapons... tell your children about it, so they can tell their children about it. Who will tell their children... Who...

The military budget of the USA is about 3 times the budget of China (which has 17 neighbouring countries) and around 10 times the budget of Russia. And the United States have mainly 2 ground neighbours, Mexico and Canada, and two sea neighbours Cuba and Haïti... one has to defend itself right?! but wait, it is true that the long range missiles are making Earth a Village... one more reason to change the mentalities...

"L'envoyé du gouvernement chinois vient de dire que l'acceptation par le Canada des refugiés de Hong Kong pourrait compromettre les Canadiens établis a Hong Kong"... une menace voilée inadmissible.
Le Canada a toujours été une terre d'accueil et entend bien le rester. C'est une priorité du Canada, tout comme l'unification de la Chine est une priorité pour le gouvernement chinois.
Le Canada a accueilli des milliers d'americains qui refusaient d'aller se battre contre les vietnamiens (et leurs allies chinois)
Le Canada a accueilli (et continue d'accueillir) des milliers de refugiés du Moyen Orient a la recherche d'un havre de paix et souhaitant quitter leurs pays en guerre
Le Canada a accueilli récemment des milliers de Haïtiens en situation illégale aux Etats Unis ou qui voulaient tout simplement fuir le racisme latent au Trumpistan, et qui sont venus au Canada en empruntant des chemins forestiers entre autres, au bout duquel ils ont été arrêtés, soignés, et aidés a faire une demande d'asile.
Alors disons que la déclaration du représentant chinois est une erreur grossière de communication du gouvernement chinois, qui va irriter le gouvernement canadien a juste titre, et va certainement déplaire a la majorité des canadiens.

Canada has always been a welcoming land and will keep it that way. It is a priority for Canada, just like unity of China's land is a priority of the Chinese government.
Canada has welcomed thousands of Americans who were refusing to go and fight Vietnamese people (and their Chinese allies)
Canada has welcomed (and keeps doing it) thousands of refugees from the Middle East, looking for a peaceful environment far away fro their countries at war'
Canada has recently welcomed thousands of people from Haïti, illegally established in the USA or who just wanted to get away from the racism obvious in Trumpistan, and who came to Canada often by walking in forest paths, at the end of which the were arrested, attended to for health needs, and helped to ask for asylum in Canada.
So let's say that the declaration of the Chinese envoy is a gross mistake of communication by the Chinese government, which will irritate the Canadian government, rightly so, and which will certainly not please the majority of Canadians.

Aujourd'hui jour de l'Action de grace pour les canadiens. Remerciements au ciel en memoire des premieres années de bonne récolte par les premiers arrivants d'Europe.
Mais je suis d'accord avec Michael Moore... les canadiens ont aujourd'hui également rendu grace au ciel de leur avoir épargné d'etre américains... au vu de ces quatre dernières années avec leur dictateur president du Trumpistan...
Je rajouterais que les canadiens en ont profite pour faire une prière pour les 4 prochaines années pour leurs amis américains au sud de la frontière...

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving day. Thanks given to sky and heaven in memory of the good harvest obtained by the first European settlers.
But I agree with Michael Moore... Canadians also gave thanks to the heavens today for not being American... in view of the last four years with their dictator President of Trumpistan...
I would add that the Canadians today also made a little prayer for the four next years for their American friends on the South of the border.

Insectes grillés - grilled insects
Trois commentaires a propos du virus COVID19.
1. Le virus COVID19 a muté en 6 mois et est devenu beaucoup plus contagieux, en même temps que les médecins ont appris a mieux le soigner surtout dans les cas sans antécedents médicaux / pathologies aggravantes. Mais les vacances d'été, la rentrée scolaire et universitaire et surtout les fêtes de famille, d'amis et entre jeunes qui voulaient se retrouver après 5 a 6 mois d'efforts ont relancé une contagion du virus dans les pays occidentaux, comme les USA, le Canada et l'Europe.
En Asie la priorité mise naturellement par tous sur le bien de tous par rapport aux objectifs individuels a permis a beaucoup de pays de maitriser le virus grace a la coopération immediate de la population. Pas le cas en Occident... en particulier au Trumpistan ou les gens veulent retourner a la vie comme avant.
Sauf que... la chose que les gens n'aiment pas le plus est de changer leurs habitudes... pas de chance, ce dont nous pouvons être sur dans notre vie sont... les changements!
2. Le président du Trumpistan a fini par attraper le virus COVID19. A moins de dire que le virus a fini par le rattraper...
A force de ne pas encourager le port du masque pour lui, ses proches et ses supporters; a force de dire depuis Mars 2020 que le virus va disparaître par miracle a l'été 2020; dernièrement de dire que le virus était pratiquement fini... (juste a temps pour sa re-election...); et enfin pour se moquer de lui mardi dernier, de dire a la television que son adversaire dans la course présidentielle "porterait un masque énorme pour vous parler même a 30m",... il a fini par fâcher le virus je suppose... Faut pas tenter le diable, ou un virus...
3. Cela fait maintenant plusieurs virus depuis des dizaines dernières années qui ont leur origine dans les animaux non domestiques consommés en Asie, en particulier au Vietnam et en Chine. Grippe, SARS, etc...
J'ai demandé un jour a un Chinois quels animaux mangeaient les chinois. Il m'a répondu "Si l'animal bouge, on peut le manger!" Faut dire qu'ils ont connu la famine et des millions de morts suite a la revolution agricole du president Mao qui n'aura visiblement pas réussi cette partie de sa révolution. De même au Vietnam, pendant les bombardements occidentaux en particulier américains sur les villes et les champs agricoles, il fallait bien manger quelque chose...
Alors je dis bravo au premier ministre anglais Boris Johnson (une premiere sur ce blog!...) pour avoir proposé des millions de livres sterling pour aider a étudier les virus venus d'animaux en Asie.
Mais au fait, en Occident... on a eu aussi des problèmes avec la vache folle non...? et on a de temps en temps des problèmes avec les porcs...? Alors...? Ca vous fait penser a quoi tous ces virus qui nous parviennent de plus en plus fréquemment d'animaux sauvages ou d'elevage qu'on veut manger, ...?!
Je peux voire venir le temps ou le Village deviendra végétarien avec un complement de protéines venant de quelques insectes, délicieux bien grillés... parait-il...

Three comments about the virus COVID19.
1. The COVID19 did mutate over the last 6 months and has become far more contagious, while at the same time doctors learned how to better treat it, mainly in the case of without any medical aggravating pre-conditions. But summer vacation, school restarting as well as universities and mainly celebrations within families, friends and between young adults who were longing to get together after 5 or 6 months of efforts have started a new wave of epidemic in the western world, like USA, Canada and Europe.
In Asia the natural priority given by all for the good of everybody versus individual objectives has allowed them to better control the virus thanks to the immediate cooperation of all the people. Not the case in the western world... in particular in Trumpistan where people want to get back to the life as it was before.
Except that... the thing people like the least is to have to change their habits... tough luck... the thing we can be sure will happen in our lives is... change!
2. The President of Trumpistan finally caught the virus COVID19. Unless you want to say that the virus finally caught him...
He has been very reluctant to encourage wearing a mask for him, his relatives, his close people and his fans; he has been continuously repeating since March 2020 that the virus was going to disappear by itself, "a miracle", in the summer 2020; lately he has been promoting that the virus was almost over... (just in time for his re-election...); and finally he mocked his opponent in the presidential debate by telling him in front of the television that "he was the kind of man who would wear a huge mask even to talk to you from 100 feet apart"... he finally got the virus mad I guess... Dont tempt the devil or a virus...
3. Over the last dozens of years, we have had many viruses originating in the non familiar animals eaten in Asia, in particular in Vietnam and in China. Flu, SARS, etc...
I once asked a Chinese man what kind of animals did the Chinese eat. He said "If the animal is moving, we can eat it"
Mind you, they had nothing to eat and millions of people died following the farming revolution of the President Mao who clearly did not register a success with this part of his revolution. And in Vietnam, while their fields and their cities were bombed by the western world in particular the USA, they did not have much to eat...
So let me congratulate the English Prime minister Boris Johnson (a first on this blog!...) as he has proposed to spend millions of pounds to help study the viruses coming from the animals in Asia.
But wait a minute, in the western world... we also had problems with the mad cow disease, right...? and now and then we have problems with pork meat...? So...? What does that inspire you all these viruses which originate more and more frequently in the wild or farm animals that we want to eat...?!
I can see the time coming when the Village will go veggie! with a complement of protein from some insects, very tasty when grilled... apparently...
