Attention,
danger... pour tout le Village...
The Council of the
Oulemas (Muslim authorities) in Morocco has decided to join the list of the Muslim
countries which refuse the right to a Muslim to change religion...
Morocco was known for its acceptance of all religions, including Jewish and Christian, and for a moderate Islam under the religious authority of its King. Oh well, under the pressure of the competition, Morocco has basically followed the example of more and countries in the Village, one step to the right, two steps backwards, for anything dealing with the acceptance of the other religions, among their own citizens or for the immigrants. Not a very good piece of news for the Village...

The freedom to choose or leave his
religion, the equality of rights between men and women including for education
and work, and secularism of the State above any religion must rapidly be
adopted by all the countries in the Village, otherwise we will enter a century dominated
by the ups and downs and hick-ups of the modernisation of the religions, starting
with Islam.
To diminish the impact of the terrorist attacks from the extremist Muslims, it is going to be very tempting for the non-Muslim countries to look twice before granting the immigration of any Muslim applicant, to reinforce the surveillance of Muslims already integrated, to recommend to their citizens not to visit any Muslim country and to forbid the construction of any new mosque until the construction of a new church will not be authorized in Saudi Arabia, as already voted by some North European countries.
Unless they move quickly to
adopt the four above proposals (freedom to choose or quit your religion and to build a place to pray, equality
of rights between men and women, secularism of the constitution), the Muslim countries could provoke
their isolation in the short term, and the lack of interest and support for their people and
their internal war between Shiites and Sunnites.
So we all stay home..?. Caution, danger... for the whole Village...
