Un enfant de deux ans, assis dans le caddy d'un super marche américain, a joue hier avec le sac de sa maman pendant qu'elle choisissait sur les rayons de la nourriture pour enfants. Il a trouve dans le sac le revolver chargé de celle-ci, et le coup est parti. Sa mere, âgée de 26 ans, est morte sur le coup.
Je suppose que la NRA (Association Nationale des armes a feu) américaine va nous dire que l'enfant n'avait pas encore recu de cours d'instruction sur les armes a feu... Par contre les medias ont confirme que la mere avait bien un permis pour port non visible d'arme a feu...
Certaines choses ne changent pas aux Etats Unis, et ne paraissent pas prêtes a changer

Les Africains, avec l'aide de personnel medical occidental, continuent de lutter contre Ebola et le manque d'eau potable et de conditions sanitaires minima. Quand ils ne meurent pas de faim.
Les choses ne changent pas vite en Afrique, avec leurs deux priorités, la corruption et le manque d'eau potable.

A two years old child, siting in the caddie of an American supermarket, started playing with the bag of his Mom while she was choosing food for the children on the shelves. He found in her bag her loaded gun, and the shot fired. His mother, 26 years old, was killed on the spot. 
I guess that the American NRA (National Rifle Association) is going to tell us that the child had not received yet any instruction course about handling guns... On the other hand the news media have confirmed that the mother had indeed a valid permit for a concealed firearm...
Some things do not change in the USA, and apparently are not ready to change, with a Congress already Republican and a President to come in two years probably also a Republican.

The African, with the help of western medical personnel, are still fighting against Ebola or the lack of drinking water and poor sanitary conditions. That is when they are not dying from hunger. 
Things are not changing fast in Africa, with their two priorities, corruption and lack of drinking water.

7 siecles / 7 centuries

La Tunisie a elu un president de leur pays grace a un vote democratique, une premiere dans leur histoire. Les tunisiens ont choisi la democratie contre l'islam dur et violent des islamistes extemistes. Bravo. Je vais regarder pour des vacances en Tunisie dans un avenir proche.

En Fance, la semaine avant Noel, un chauffeur a ecrase une dizaine de personnes et s'est laisse arreter en criant "Allah Akbar" (Dieu est grand).
Les juges, medecins et journalistes ont calme la population en annoncant que l'auteur de cet acte de violence gratuite etait le fait d'un derange mental, et non pas le fruit d'une planification par un groupe terroriste organise.
Remarquez que ca fait longtemps que nous savons que tous ceux qui tuent des innocents au nom de Dieu sont des deranges mentaux qui devraient etre enfermes en attendant d'etre soignes.

Mais bon... les chretiens ont organise des croisades et tue au nom de Dieu 12 siecles apres Jesus.
Et les musulmans extremistes sont en train de tuer au nom de Dieu 12 siecles apres leur prophete Mohamed.
Donc... la laicite s'etant imposee en Europe pour amener la paix et la prosperite quelques 7 siecles apres les croisades, on pourrait avoir une acceptation de la laicite par les musulmans sous moins de 7 siecles...
On se sent mieux et on respire... ou pas...

Tunisia just elected a President of their country, thanks to a democratic vote,a first in their history. The Tunisians have chosen Democracy against a violent extremist Islam. Bravo. I am going to look into going to Tunisia for some future holidays.

In France, the week before Christmas, a driver ran over ten pedestrians and when arrested, shouted "Allah Akbar" (God is great).
The judges, doctors and news reporters have calmed the French population by telling them that this guy was a mentally disturbed person, and it was not a terrorist act planned by an organisation.
Mind you, we have known for quite some time now, that anyone killing innocent people in the name of God is a mentally disturbed person, which should be put behind bars before being medically attended for.

But well... Christians organised Crusades and killed in the name of God around 12 centuries after Jesus. And the extremist Muslims are now killing innocent in the name of God 12 centuries after their prophet Mohamed.
So... since secularism finally imposed itself in Europe and brought peace and prosperity around 7 centuries after the Crusades, we might have an acceptation of secularism by the Muslims within the next 7 centuries...
You can breathe and feel better... or not...

Encore quelques mois / A few months left

Le president américain et le president cubain viennent d'annoncer que les Etats Unis et Cuba rétablissaient leurs relations diplomatiques et que les Etats Unis leveraient l'embargo economique de l’île. Un échange de prisonniers vient d'avoir lieu ce meme jour. Et l'accord a ete signe grace a la mediation du pape Francois.
Le president américain a dit que l'embargo vieux de plus de 50 ans ne marchait pas. Il a raison, un embargo economique ne peut marcher que s'il est appliqué par tous les pays occidentaux, ce qui n’était pas le cas. Meme le Canada faisait commerce avec Cuba.
Je vois trois consequences a cet accord:
- la Russie ne pourra plus faire chanter les américains avec une menace de presence renforcée a Cuba.
- les cigares cubains et le rhum cubain vont pouvoir attaquer le marche américain.
- les cubains établis aux Etats Unis vont revenir créer des entreprises et des commerces. Les entreprises américaines, a commencer pa celles de tourisme et de restauration, vont elles aussi débarquer a La Havane et a Cuba sous peu. Espérons que la mafia américaine attendra un peu avant de rétablir les casinos, la drogue et la prostitution
Heureusement  que nous avons été visite La Havane l'hiver dernier, juste a temps...!
Il vous reste quelques mois pour le faire... courez chez votre agent de voyages...

The American President and the Cuban President have just announced that the USA and Cuba were going to reestablish their diplomatic relations and that the USA were going to lift the economical embargo of the island. An exchange of prisoners has just happened today. And the agreement has been made possible thanks to mediation of the Pope Francis.
The American President said that the 50 years old embargo was not working. He is right, an economic embargo can only work if it is applied by all the Western countries, which was not the case. Even Canada was doing business with Cuba.
I see three consequences to this agreement:
- Russia will not be able anymore to put pressure on the USA with the threat of reinforcing their presence in Cuba.
- Cuban cigars and rum are going to be able to attack the American market.
- The Cubans established in the USA are going to come back and create businesses and retail shops. The American businesses, starting with the tourism and the fast food, are also going to come to Havana and Cuba shortly. Let's hope that the American mafia will wait a bit to re-establish the gambling casinos, drugs and prostitution.
Luckily we went and visited Havana last winter, just in time...!
You have a few more months to do the same... run and see your travel agent...

** Automne chinois / Chinese autumn / 中国秋季

La Grande Bretagne a gagné et va devenir la premiere puissance mondiale.
Le commerce va se developper, par les mers, la revolution industrielle va se mettre en marche avec des avancées sociales, la démocracie va avancer, la Nouvelle Zealande accorde le droit de vote aux femmes, mais... a mon avis on peut oublier la colonisation ou les guerres de l'opium en Chine.

1937 Le Japon envahit la Chine et Pekin. Les USA imposent des sanctions economiques.
1940 Les Nazis envahissent la France et l'Europe. Les USA se preparent a vendre / preter des armes.
1941 Les Nazis déclarent la guerre a la Russie, et les USA déclarent la guerre au Japon.
Et par solidarite avec le Japon, les Nazis declarent la guerre aux USA. Déclarer la guerre a la Russie et aux Etats Unis, deux erreurs strategiques des Nazis, heureusement pour les Europeens...
1944 Les USA ont gagné la guerre avec leurs armes et leurs avions et... une bombe atomique, la premiere et la seule jamais utilisee dans le Village. Les USA deviennent la premiere puissance mondiale.
Le commerce va se developper par les airs et la mer, le mur de Berlin va tomber, Neil Amstrong va marcher sur la lune, et Internet va remplacer les discussions face a face et au coin du feu.
Mais...
Le decoupage des frontieres de pays au couteau de boucher de campagne, apres l'armistice, restera un echec dans bien des cas encore a ce jour (Kurdistan ou Afrique);
Les USA ne vont gagner aucune des guerres qui s'ensuivent (Vietnam, Irak, Afghanistan,...) par manque d'objectif clair appuyé par un gouvernement local;
Un tout autre mur est erigé a Jerusalem avec la complicite des USA qui refusent de reconnaitre la Palestine, etat jumeau d'Israel;
La Russie va se concentrer sur les pots de vin et les ventes d'armes et de gaz en laissant le champ libre aux democracies occidentales;
Les interventions occidentales au Moyen Orient ou en Afrique du Nord se multiplient sans raison au lieu de mettre l'effort sur l'education des extremistes par leurs confreres pacifiques;
L'appat du gain facile sans creation de valeur et la finance vont imposer les casinos financiers et les paradis fiscaux, grace au silence coupable des politiques aux USA et en Grande Bretagne, avec le crash de 2008 par exemple en consequence;
Les USA vont rester le plus gros consommateur de drogues dans le Village et subventionmner indirectement les violences des cartels de drogue en Amerique centrale et en Colombie;
Il va se vendre 2 millions d'armes a feu aux USA dans le seul mois de Novembre 2014;
Et le racisme n'est toujours pas mort aux USA, depuis l'assasinat des freres Kennedy.
Un bilan somme toute pas fameux pour les politiques qui nous dirigent, et les USA en particulier.

La Chine vient de depasser les Etats Unis comme premiere puissance mondiale en terme de pouvoir d'achat. Et il y a fort a parier que l'ecart va se creuser.
Choses bonnes a savoir:
La Chine n'a jamais engagé d'action militaire hors de ses frontieres; la Chine est le banquier du dollar americain; la Chine construit plus de lignes TGV par an qu'il n'en existe en France (toujours 0 aux USA); la Chine a un passé et une civilisation de plusieurs milliers d'annees;
Mais si en Chine, tout est possible... rien n'est pour sur!
Et l'unité de temps, en chinois, est de... 2 heures!
Alors attendons nous a des decisions plus muries et a moins d'interventions sur la scene internationale du nouveau leader du Village.
Les musulmans pacifiques vont devoir s'occuper de leurs extremistes, ce qui risque de prendre quelques siècles, comme en Europe, tant que la laicite ne sera pas mise au-dessus des lois religieuses;
Les USA vont s'attaquer a leur probleme d'armes a feu et de drogue. Ou non...
Le siege des Nations Unies va quitter les USA;
Et chaque pays va devoir regler ses problemes de corruption, a commencer par la Russie et l'Inde. La Chine elle a deja commencé, et les tetes tombent comme les feuilles des arbres en Automne.

Nous allons passer de l'ete chaud americain et de ses plaisirs faciles immediats, a un automne chinois sans doute plus pacifique, avec des couleurs qui pourraient nous surprendre...

Commerce is growing to grow, over the seas, the industrial revolution is going to take place, along with some social improvements, democracy is going to make steps forward, New Zealand gives the right to vote to women, but... in my opinion, you can forget the colonies or the opium wars in China

1937 Japan invades China and Beijing. The USA impos economic sanctions.
1940 The Nazis invade France and Europe. The USA get ready to sell / loan weapons.
1941 The Nazis declare war to Russia, and the USA declare war to Japan. And by solidarity, the Nazis declare war to the USA. Declaring war to Russia and the USA, two strategic errors of the Nazis, lucky for the Europeans...
1944 The USA have won the war with their weapons and planes and... and an atomic bomb, the first and only one used to-date in the Village. The USA become the first world power. 
Commerce is going to develop through the airs and by sea, the wall of Berlin is going to fall, Neil Amstrong walks on the moon, and Internet will replace the discussions face to face and by the fire.
But... 
The cutting of the borders of countries with country butcher's knife, after the armistice, will remain a failure in many cases to this date (Kurdistan or Africa); 
The USA will  not win any of the following wars (Vietnam, Irak, Afghanistan,...) due tot he lack of a clear objective supported by a local government; 
A different kind of wall is built in Jerusalem, with the complicity of the USA, refusing to recognize Palestine, the twin state of Israel; 
Russia is going to concentrate on bribery and selling weapons and gas, leaving the international field to the western democracies; 
The occidental interventions in the Middle East or in North Africa get more frequent without any good reason, instead of putting the priority on having the extremists being educated by their pacific brothers;
Getting easy money without adding any value and the finance world are going to impose the financial casinos and the fiscal paradises, thanks to the silence of the political establishment in the USA and in Great Britain, with the crash of 2008 for instance as a consequence; 
The USA are staying the biggest consumer of drugs in the Village and are indirectly subventionning the violence of the drug cartels in Central America and Colombia; 
In November 2014 alone, 2 millions fire arms are going to be sold in the USA; 
And racism is still not dead in the USA, since the assassination of the Kennedy brothers. 
In short, an end result not so good for the politic establishment who are governing us, in particular in the USA.

December 2014. You were there.
China has just overtaken the USA as the first world power in term of buying power. And I bet the gap will go increasing. 
Things good to know:
China never took any military action away from their borders; China is the banker of the US dollar; China builds more tracks for high speed trains each year that there are in total in France (still 0 in the USA); China has a past and a civilization of many thousand years; 
But if China, everything is possible... nothing is for sure!
And the unit of time, in Chinese, is... 2 hours!
So expect decisions taken with bit more time and less interventions on the international stage by the the new world power.
The pacific Muslims will have to take care of their extremists, which could take a few centuries, like in Europe, until secularism will be put above the religious laws;
The USA are going to tackle their problem of firearms and drugs. Or not...
The head office of the United Nations will leave the USA;
And each country will have to tackle its problem with corruption, starting with Russia and India. As for China, it has already started, and heads are falling like leaves in Autumn.

We are going to go from the American summer and its immediate easy pleasures, to a Chinese autumn probably more pacific, with colors which could surprise us...

Le ciel bleu d'Istambul / Blue skies in Istanbul

Le pape Francois a prié dans la mosquée bleue d’Istanbul, a l'invitation et aux cotés du grand Mufti de cette mosquée.
Ils ont prié pour la paix entre les hommes de toute religion. Comment je le sais ?...
- D'abord parce que le bon Dieu a horreur du vide...
- Et ensuite parce que cette mosquée, construite il y a exactement 4 siècles, a été la première mosquée construite a Istanbul par un dirigeant supreme turc sans qu'elle soit payée par le butin des guerres que les dirigeants gagnaient...! Une mosquée construite avec simplement l'argent du peuple, sans guerre et sans violence...

Durant leur prière, au-dessus de Francois et du grand mufti, le dome bleu azur de la mosquée, et au-dessus... le ciel bleu... ou habiterait le bon Dieu.
J'ai bien dit "habiterait" car personne n'est sur de l'adresse et du code postal du bon Dieu, dans le ciel, ou sous terre, ou... dans nos cœurs?
De toutes façons c'est un symbole très fort que viennent d'envoyer ces deux grands hommes en reconnaissant que Dieu est unique et mystérieux, et que toute prière pour la paix peut être recue quel que soit l'endroit ou elle sera prononcée.
Déjà il y a quelques années le pape Benoit 16 avait fermé les yeux et s'était recueilli dans cette mosquée avec le grand mufti, mais a l'époque les réactionnaires des deux bords avaient soutenu "qu'il n'avait pas prié, mais s'était simplement recueilli"...!?!! Au moins maintenant le doute n'est plus permis.
Derriere le mur de votre jardin ou derriere le mur du café au bout de votre rue, une prière pour la paix devrait aussi marcher, mais vous serez quand meme plus pres du cœur des autres dans une église, un temple, une mosquée ou une synagogue....
C'est l'addition des volontés et des prières pour la paix dans les cœurs et les esprits qui conduira a la paix dans le Village.
Au travers des hommes politiques et des gouvernements bien sur.
Aye... je sens que c'est la que ca se va gâter...

Ne ratez pas demain: 中国秋季

Pope Francis prayed in the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, after being invited by the the Great Mufti of this Mosque, and praying alongside him.
They prayed for peace between people of all religions. How do I know that?...
- First of all because God hates emptiness...
- And then because this mosque, built exactly 400 years ago, was the first Mosque in Istanbul built by a leader of Turkey without getting any funding from the loot brought by the wars that leaders were winning...! A mosque built simply with the money of the people, without any war or violence...

While they were praying, above Pope Francis and the Great Mufti, there were... the blue dome of the Mosque, and above... the blue skies of Istanbul... blue skies where God apparently lives.
I said "apparently" as no one is sure of the address or the postal code of God, in the skies, under the Earth, or... in our hearts?
Anyway, it was still a very strong symbol that was sent by these two men. recognizing that God is unique and mysterious, and all prayers can be made anywhere you wish
A few years ago already, Pope Benedict had closed his eyes in the same Mosque with the great Mufti by his side, but at the time, the extremists of all sides had said that "they had not been praying, but simply had a silent moment next to each other"...!?!! At least now there is no more doubt.
Behind the wall in the back of your garden, or behind the wall of the pub at the end of your street, a prayer for peace should work too, but you will still be closer to the hearts of others in a Church, a Temple, a Mosque or a Synagogue....
It is the addition of your resolution and of the prayers for peace in the hearts and in the minds which will lead to Peace in the Village. 
Through the political parties and the governments of course. 
Aye... that is probably where trouble will start...
