Le président iranien s’est rendu aux
obsèques du président vénézuélien. Il a pris dans ses bras la veuve du
président vénézuélien pendant quelques secondes pour la réconforter. Bravo. Un
journaliste a publié la photo de cet instant de réconfort. Les autorités
islamiques en Iran se sont émues de cette mixité, de ce contact physique en
public entre leur président et une femme, et le lui reprochent maintenant
ouvertement…
Il y a un an, les medias israéliens avaient
gommé la seule femme présente (Hillary Clinton) de la photo de l’assemblée des
membres du gouvernement américain qui suivaient en direct l’assaut contre Ben
Laden, pour ne pas choquer leurs lecteurs religieux.
Et l’an dernier les télévisions avaient
montré un membre de la famille royale d'Arabie Saoudite qui se faisait
présenter un projet de développement grandiose par… une femme, non voilée… Il
ne l’avait pas regardé une seule fois, le dos a moitié tourné vers elle,
ostensiblement…
La place de la femme et son égalité avec
l’homme dans le travail, l’éducation ou la pratique de toute religion devrait
être un critère qui rassemble les habitants démocrates et laïques du Village.
The Iranian
President went to the funerals of the Venezuelan President. He took in his arms
the widow of the Venezuelan President for a few seconds, to comfort her. Bravo.
A photograph took a picture of this moment of comfort. The Islamic authorities
have objected to this closeness, this physical contact between their President
and… a woman, and are now openly attacking him over this attitude.
One year ago, the
media in Israel had removed from a picture the face of the only woman (Hillary
Clinton) assisting with the other key American government members to the
capture of Ben Laden, in order not to shock their religious readers…
And last year
televisions showed a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia being presented
a magnificent project by… a woman,
without a veil… He did not look at her once, his back half turned towards her,
on purpose…
The place of Women
and their equal rights with men at work, for education or in the practice of
any religion should be a criterion which unites true democratic and secular countries
in the Village.
