« Ne pleure pas pour moi, l’Argentine… » Je reviendrais !
Le Pape François va certainement venir en visite en Argentine et en Amérique du Sud dans un futur proche.
50% des Catholiques du Village habitent dans les Amériques, de l’Argentine au Canada.
Les Catholiques d’Amérique du Sud ont donne la priorité a lutter contre la pauvreté depuis fort longtemps, disons plusieurs siècles, grâce aux Franciscains et aux Jésuites.

Remarquez que, avec tout l’or qui se trouve dans l’Eglise des Jésuites a Quito (Equateur), vous pourriez sans doute acheter des milliers de maisons aux pauvres d’Equateur… mais le nouveau Pape François, premier Jésuite a être élu Pape, a vendu ses appartements a l'archevêché de Buenos Aires et a donné l’argent aux pauvres… Bravo… Ca doit valoir cher le Vatican, non… ?

Toute une surprise pour les media que les cardinaux romains catholiques aient choisi un Pape des Amériques, et qu’il refuse d’ajouter un chiffre romain a son prénom, juste Pape François.

Pas de chiffre romain après son nom ? Je suis d’accord, de toutes façons il devrait être le dernier Pape, donc il a peut-être en tète une nouvelle organisation de l’Eglise Catholique romaine… attendons de voir…

Le choix de François pour son nom est une référence évidente aux deux plus fameux François dans l’Eglise Catholique :

- François d’Assise, 13eme siècle, qui a fondé les Franciscains, et mis l’accent sur vivre les enseignements de Jésus, aider les pauvres, respecter l’environnement et toute créature vivante, et se méfier de la corruption et de la gloire du pouvoir. Claire a fondé l’ordre des clarisses en même temps, avec les mêmes priorités, et les hommes et les femmes laïcs dans tout le Village peuvent se rencontrer et prier ensemble dans les fraternités franciscaines laïques. La lettre ouverte de François d’Assise aux puissants et leaders du Village reste valable aujourd’hui jusqu’au dernier mot…

- Francis Xavier, 16eme siècle, qui, avec Ignace de Loyola a fonde les Jésuites a Paris (Montmartre), et a voyage en Asie pour amener la Bible, ou en fait… pour ramener a l’ordre les riches Portugais établis a Macao et en Inde, qui ne montraient pas une image très attirante du Catholicisme et de la Bible aux locaux…

Donc le Pape François pourrait mettre la priorité sur…

- vendre tout l’or au Vatican, puis les bâtiments, et aller vivre a Jérusalem avec une nouvelle organisation pour l’Eglise catholique (Concile des évêques tous les 3 ans a Jérusalem?)

- aider les pauvres du monde entier avec des recommandations a tous les leaders du Village, comme promouvoir l’emploi, la distribution des richesses et la famille,

- faire découvrir la Bible en Asie…

Tout un programme… pour un dernier Pape… si on en croit la prophétie de Fatima...

Pope Francis will no doubt come and visit Argentina and South America in the very near future. 50% of the Catholics in the Village are in the Americas, from Argentina to Canada.

South American Catholics have given the priority to poverty issues for quite some time now, call it a few centuries, thanks to the Franciscans first and the Jesuits.

Mind you, all the gold in the Jesuit Church in Quito (Ecuador) could probably buy a few thousands homes to poor Ecuadorians… but the new Pope Francis, first Jesuit to be elected Pope, did sell in Buenos Aires the residence of the bishop he was in and gave the money to the poor… Bravo… The Vatican must be worth millions, no…?

Quite a surprise for the media that the Roman Catholic Cardinals would choose a Pope from the Americas, and that he is refusing to add a roman numeral to his name, Pope Francis.

No numeral after his name? I agree, he is expected to be the last Pope anyway, so he might have in mind a different organisation for the Roman Catholic Church…let’s wait and see…

The choice of Francis for his name is obviously a reference to the two most famous Francis in the Catholic Church:

- Francis of Assisi, 13thcentury, who founded the Franciscans, and put priority on living Jesus' teachings, helping the poor, respecting all living creatures an our environment, and beware of corruption and glory when holding power. Claire founded the Clarisse order at the same time, for women, with the same priorities, and women and men can meet and pray together in the secular Franciscan fraternities all
over the Village. Francis of Assisi’s letter to the powerful leaders of the Village also remains true to the last
word today…
- Francis Xavier, 16thcentury, who founded the Jesuits with Ignacio Loyola in Paris (Montmartre), and traveled to Asia to bring the gospel, or in fact… first to clean up the attitude of the rich Portuguese established in Macao and India, who were not showing a very attractive image of Catholicism and the gospel to the locals…

So Pope Francois could put the priority on…

- selling all the gold in the Vatican, then the buildings, and go and live in Jerusalem with a new organisation for the Catholic Church (Council of the bishops every 3 years in Jerusalem?)

- helping the poor worldwide with advice to the leaders in the Village, like promoting employment and family life,

- bringing the gospel to Asia…

Quite a program… for a last Pope… if we believe in the prophecy of Fatima...
