Les écossais vont voter le 18 Septembre pour ou contre la separation avec l'Angleterre.
Avec des champs de petrole, des banques qui valent pres de 20 fois le Produit Interieur Brut (!), une Europe qui pourrait accueillir de plus en plus de "régions", et toute une histoire derriere eux (en Ecosse ou au Canada), il est clair que la séparation écossaise est parmi les choses qui pourraient arriver un jour ou l'autre. Jusqu'a ce que les champs de petrole se vident...

Le gouvernement écossais avait demandé il y a deux ans que le referendum offre aux écossais le choix entre trois possibilités: se séparer de l'Angleterre; le status quo; ou plus de pouvoirs au parlement écossais. Le premier ministre actuel anglais avait refusé la troisième option, pour forcer les écossais a choisir entre rester ou de sortir...
Devant les sondages qui annoncent un score serré, le premier ministre anglais tente maintenant d'amadouer les écossais en leur promettant plus de pouvoirs. Il aurait mieux fait de laisser le gouvernement et le peuple écossais choisir le texte du referendum.

With oil fields, banks worth close to 20 times the Gross Internal Product, a Europe which could welcome more and more "regions", and a long History behind them (in Scotland or in Canada), it is clear that the Scottish separation is among the eventualities which could happen one day or another. Until the oil fields dry...

The Scottish government had asked two years ago that the referendum should offer three choices to the Scottish people: leave Great Britain; the status quo; or more powers to the Scottish parliament. The actual Prime Minister of the United Kingdom had refused the third option, to force the Scottish people to choose between stay or leave...
In view of the polls results (close vote), the English Prime Minister is now trying to promise more powers to the Scottish parliament. He should have let the Scottish government and the people of Scotland choose the text of the referendum.
