HIJAB  -   ECHARPE

Le "voile" islamique est un ornement vestimentaire qui se porte sur la tete (HIJAB), comme un foulard, ou bien qui peut aussi couvrir le visage en ne laissant voir que les yeux (NIKAB).

Le NIKAB devrait etre interdit dans tout espace public, puisqu'il annonce clairement un refus de communiquer pleinement, qu'il ait été ordonné par un homme ou qu'il soit porté volontairement par la femme. De meme, le visage masqué par une écharpe est interdit dans toute manifestation publique par plusieurs pays démocratiques.
Le message envoyé serait clair: si vous n’êtes pas prêts a communiquer, restez chez vous.

Le HIJAB (tout comme le turban sikh) devrait être accepté pour le public en general, dans la rue ou tout espace public, y compris a la plage, sauf que... comme il représente un signe ostentatoire de religion, il devrait être interdit a mon avis pour toute personne amenée dans sa profession a rencontrer le public, et pour tout athlete participant a une competition sportive, car le sport doit rester au delà de la politique et de la religion. Mais libre a vous de vous entraîner avec si vous voulez, sans doute plus une gene qu'autre chose.
Pour le sport en general, oubliez la question de sécurité, qui ne rentre en general en ligne de compte de toutes façons que pour les sports ou il peut y avoir contact, comme le basket, le rugby, le foot / soccer, la lutte, mais pas le tennis, ou le volleyball ou l’athlétisme ou la natation ou la gymnastique, sports dans lesquels l'athlete pourrait être défavorisée par rapport a ses concurrentes, mais de son propre choix

Bon... dans une periode transitoire a definir (5 a 10 ans), pour encourager les femmes musulmanes a faire du sport et a s'emanciper..., je propose d'autoriser le Hijab (et donc le turban Sikh) dans tout sport sans aucune possibilite de contact, donc tennis, volleyball, athletisme, natation, gymnastique.

The Islamic veil is a piece of clothing worn either on the head (HIJAB), like a scarf, or worn to hide the face except the eyes (NIKAB).

The NIKAB should be forbidden in any public space as it is a refusal to communicate fully, whether it was ordered by a man or worn voluntarily by the woman. 
In the same way, hiding your face behind a scarf is forbidden in many public demonstrations by many democratic countries. 
The intent of the message sent would be clear: if you are not ready to communicate, stay home.

The HIJAB (like the Sikh turban) should be accepted for anyone in public in general, in the street or any public space, including on the beach, except that... since it is a clearly visible ostentatious religious sign, in my opinion it should be forbidden for anyone who in their job will meet public customers, and for any sport activities, as sport must stay above politics and religion. But you are free to practice with or without it, probably more of a nuisance than anything else.
For sport in general, forget safety considerations which are basically relevant only for all sports with possibility of contact, like basket, rugby, soccer, football, wrestling, but not tennis, volleyball, athletism, swimming or gymnastics, sports in which the athlete would have a handicap compared to their competitors, but from their own choice.

Alright... for a transitory period to be defined (5 to 10 years), and to encourage Muslim women to practice sport and emancipate..., I propose to authorize the Hijab (and also the Sikh turban) in all sports with no possibility of contact, like tennis, volleyball, athletics, swimming, gymnastics.
