Histoire au passé
Le 6 mai 1968 en France, 20,000 étudiants et professeurs d’universités marchent dans la rue pour protester contre la fermeture de l’université de la Sorbonne par la police. Des heurts s'ensuivent et les étudiants utilisent des pavés pour improviser une barricade dans le quartier latin. Des agitateurs anarchistes et trotskistes mènent la confrontation avec des cocktails Molotov et beaucoup sont arrêtés.
Le 10 mai, la police (CRS) empêche une nouvelle marche de protestation de traverser la seine. Re-heurts et barricades, et re-violences policières filmées. Les syndicats d’étudiants demandent que les étudiants arrêtés soient libérés et que la police sorte des universités de Nanterre et de la Sorbonne.
Le 13 mai les syndicats CGT et FO organisent une marche pour protester contre les violences policières. Un million de personnes est présent, y compris tous les intellectuels de gauche, et les mécontents de tous bords, de tout ou de rien.
La police ne se montre pas, et le premier ministre Pompidou annonce que la Sorbonne est évacuée et que les étudiants arrêtés sont libérés.
Mais... les usines se mettent quand meme en grève peu a peu sur fonds de malaise social general, et en deux semaines prés de 10 millions de personnes sont en grève...! et les étudiants repensent le monde... tirailles entre capitalisme sauvage, écologie baba cool, communisme et socialisme.
Les syndicats négocient finalement avec le premier ministre les accords de Grenelle le 27 mai, accordant 25% d'augmentation salariale, etc..! Mais les militants refusent ces accords, les syndicats sont desavoues par leur base...!
Le 27 mai également les étudiants demandent la démission du gouvernement.
Le 28 mai, Francois Mitterrand déclare que il n'y a plus d’état et se propose pour prendre la tête de l’état (!...). Il n'avait pas encore digéré sa défaite contre le general de Gaulle lors de l'election présidentielle précédente.
Le 30 mai le président de Gaulle accepte finalement la proposition de son premier ministre Pompidou, d'organiser de nouvelles elections législatives en Juin.
Les trois semaines qui ont ébranlé la démocratie en France tirent a leur fin. Et doucement tout rentre dans l'ordre dans les usines et les universités...
A la surprise des socialistes et des intellectuels de gauche, et après un defile sur les champs Elysées des partisans du president, les elections de Juin confirment le parti gaulliste dans sa majorité...!
Et en Avril 1969, le president organise un referendum pour réorganiser la France en regions. Il est désavoué, et en tirait les conséquences. Le general de Gaulle, vieux et usé, mais fidèle a ses convictions, démissionne.
Quelques années plus tard la reforme des regions était votée...
En résumé pour mai 1968: des violences policières injustifiées, des agitateurs anarchistes et trotskistes, des étudiants en crise d’idéalisme, et un malaise social en partie créé par un président qui se prenait pour Jupiter.
Histoire au present
En date du 1 mai 2018, le president Macron est aussi jupitérien que le général de Gaulle. Il a meme pousse la copie jusqu’à délivrer son discours au congres américain le meme jour anniversaire que le general de Gaulle l'avait fait avant lui! Mais bon... le general n'avait pas plante un chêne français sur la pelouse de la maison blanche comme l'a fait Macron avec Trump. Sauf que... le chêne planté a été enleve apres quelques jours...?!? pour soi-disant raison sanitaire et quarantaine a respecter pour tout produit agricole importé aux Etats Unis (sauf les fleurs d'Equateur...). Attendons de voir...
Les universités françaises occupées par des bandes anarchistes ont été libérées, a la demande de ceux qui voulaient passer leur diplôme, libérées sans heurts ou violences policières, bravo.
Un malaise social s'installe dans les villes et les campagnes, causé par des reformes en cours qu'il fallait faire certes, et par une majorité parlementaire qui se tient droite dans ses bottes avec le petit doigt sur la couture du pantalon.
La réforme des regions aussi devait être faite... et serait finalement faite.
Mais un gouvernement français qui décide de fêter mai 1968 en poussant en Mai 2018 des réformes radicales a la SNCF, a l’Université, chez Air France, etc... c'est courageux... ou suicidaire...?

Je fais comme vous, je regarde et j’écoute...
Au moins Macron n'aura pas Mitterrand pour le poignarder dans le dos... quoi que... Hollande est en tournée pour son livre, vendu déjà a 100,000 exemplaires, et il confirme que Macron n'est pas le "president des riches", mais le "président des... très riches"...
Ca se réchauffe en France... et sans cocktail molotov...
Et Macron a choisi de voyager cette semaine, et de ne pas être en France cette semaine?... ah bon...

Past History
On May 61968 in France, 20,000 students and university teachers demonstrate in the street to protest against the closing of the Sorbonne university by the police. Some fights happen and students use the cobble stones to improvise a barricade in the Latin quarter. Some anarchist and trotskist agitators lead the confrontation with Molotov cocktails and many are arrested.
On May 10, the police (CRS) prevents a new demonstration to cross the Seine river. Re-fights and barricades, and new police violences, on film. The Students Unions ask that the arrested students be freed and that police gets ut of the Universities of Nanterre and Sorbonne.
Om May 13 the workers syndicates CGT and FO organize a demonstration to protest against the police violence. One million people show up, including all the leftists intellectuals, and the unhappy people, unhappy about everything and nothing.
Police does not show up, and the Prime Minister Pompidou confirms that the Sorbonne has been evacuated and all arrested students have been freed.
But... the factories are still going on strike one after the other on a general atmosphere of social unrest, and in 2 weeks 10 millions people are on strike...! and students rethink the world... torn between wild capitalism, baba cool ecology, communism and socialism.
Finally the unions negotiate the Grenelle agreement with the Prime Minister Pompidou on May 27, obtaining 25% of salary raise, etc..! But the base of the Unions vote to refuse this agreement... the Unions are not followed by their base...!
On May 27 also the Students Unions ask for the government to resign.
On May 28 mai, Francois Mitterrand declares that there is no more State and that he is ready to take over the presidency of the country (!...). He was still not over his loss to the General de Gaulle at the last presidential election.
On May 30 the President de Gaulle finally accepts his Prime Minister proposal to call for a general election in June.
The three weeks which shattered democracy in France are almost over with. And slowly everything gets back in order in the factories and the universities...
To the surprise of the socialist and of the left intellectuals, and after a demonstration on the Champs Elysées by the supporters of the President, the June election give a nice majority to the President political party...!
And in Avril 1969, the President calls for a referendum to reorganize France in regions. He is not successful, and ... the General de Gaulle, old and tired, but true to his convictions, hands over his resignation
A few years later, the reorganization of France into regions is voted...
In short for May 1968: some unjustified police violence, some anarchist and trotskist agitators, some students in crisis of idealism, and a social uneasiness through the country partly created by a Jupiterian President.
Present History
As of May 1, 2018, the President Macron is as much Jupiterian as the General de Gaulle. He even pushed the copying up to delivering his speech to the American Congress on the same anniversary day as the speech of the General de Gaulle to the American Congress!
But... the General had not planted a French oak on the grass in front of the White House as Macron did with Trump. Except that... the planted oak was removed after a few days...?!? for so-called sanitary reasons, for a sanitary forty days to be observe for any plant / tree imported into the USA (except flowers from Ecuador...). Let's wait and see...
The French universities occupied by some anarchist agitators have been freed without any violence, at the request of the students who wanted to pass their exams, bravo.
A social uneasiness is present in the cities and in rural areas, caused by reforms in progress (reforms which are overdue) and by a majority at the Legislative Assembly which approves blindly everything proposed by the President.
The reform of the regions also had to be done... and would finally be done.
But a French government which decides to celebrate May 1968 by pushing in May 2018 some extreme reforms in the SNCF railways, in the Universities, at Air France, etc... is it courageous... or suicide...?
Future History
I am like you, I watch and I listen...
At least Macron will not have Mitterrand to put a knife in his back... although... Hollande is touring France and signing his book, already 100,000 copies sold, and he confirmed that Macron is not the "President of the rich people", he is the "President of the very rich people"...
It is getting warm in France... and without any Molotov cocktail...
And Macron has chosen to travel abroad this week, and not to be in France this week...? oh well...
