Un iranien de 34 ans (Mr Badawi) a été condamné a 10 ans de prison et 1000 coups de fouet pour avoir défendu les droits de l homme et de la femme, et demandé une morale plus libérale, sur son blog en Arabie Saoudite. Apparemment vendredi dernier on lui a déjà infligé 50 coups de fouet, reste plus que 950?
Le Canada a demande sa liberation dans les plus brefs délais... et déclenché la colère du royaume!
L'Arabie Saoudite a répondu au Canada de ne pas se mêler de leurs affaires! et a demande le rappel immédiat des 250 docteurs / infirmiers exerçant au Canada, ainsi que de tous les étudiants d'Arabie Saoudite qui étudient actuellement au Canada (et payent 10 a 30k CAD par an)... Ils se seraient également retires de plusieurs participations financières au Canada et ont arrêté le vol direct entre l'Arabie Saoudite et le Canada.
Ils vont aller étudier ou... aux USA...? Bonne chance...
Apparemment l'Arabie Saoudite prévoit de les envoyer plutot en Angleterre. Pourtant la reine d'Angleterre est également reine du Canada... mais... a ce jour le Royaume Uni, la France ou les USA n'ont pas soutenu la demande du Canada, tout au plus recommandant au Canada et a l'Arabie Saoudite de régler leur différend...!
Amnesty International vient de recommander aux puissances occidentales d'appuyer la demande canadienne.
(C'est vrai que le Canada aurait pu éviter ce tweet accusateur et utiliser le courrier diplomatique... espérons que le Trumpistan n'est pas en train de déteindre sur le Canada!)
Au fait, la semaine dernière, l'Arabie Saoudite a également condamné un ressortissant étranger a la peine capitale pour avoir tué une femme et volé deux maisons. Et au lieu de lui couper la tête... comme d'habitude dans ce pays..., cette fois-ci ils ont décidé de le crucifier. Ce qui a été fait cette semaine.
Rappelons également que la coalition des pays arabes menée par l'Arabie Saoudite a bombardé la semaine dernière un bus scolaire au nord du Yemen (donc a leur frontière... region tenue par des rebelles Shiites...), tuant 29 enfants qui s'y trouvaient.
Comme déjà mentionne sur ce blog en d'autres occasions, j'aurais bien aimé que la tribu choisie par les politiques Anglais pour régner sur l'Arabie Saoudite enlève un jour le sabre de leur drapeau...

A 34 year old Iranian (Mr Badawi) has been condemned to 10 years in jail and 1000 whips for having talked about men / women rights and a ore liberal morale on his blog in Saudi Arabia. Apparently he has received 50 whips last Friday, only 950 to go?
Canada has asked for his freedom as soon as possible... and has angered the Kingdom!
Saudi Arabia has answered Canada that they should mind their own business and has asked for the immediate recall of 250 nurses / medical students actually in Canada, as well a recall of all their students presently in Canada (and paying between 10 and 30k CAD per year)... They also apparently sold their shares in financial holdings in Canada and have stopped their direct flight between Saudi Arabia and Canada.
They are going to go and study where, in the USA...? Good luck...
Apparently Saudi Arabia in fact thins of sending the students in England. But the Queen of England is also the Queen of Canada... but per today the United Kingdom, France or the USA have not concurred with the request of Canada, at best saying that Canada and Saudi Arabia should resolve their querrel...!
Amnesty International has just asked the Western World countries to concur with the Canadian request.
(It is true that Canada could have avoided this accusing tweet and use the diplomatic mail... let's hope that Trumpistan methods are not spreading to Canada!)
By the way, last week, Saudi Arabia also condemned a foreigner for having killed a woman and committed two burglaries. And instead of cutting his head... as usual in their country..., this time they decided to crucify him. Which was done last week.
Let's also recall that the military coalition led by Saudi Arabia has last week bombed a school bus in the North of Yemen (ie at their border... region held by the Shiite rebels...), killing 29 children in the bus.
As already mentioned in this blog on other instances, I would love that the tribe chosen by the English politicians to rule over Saudi Arabia one day take the saber off their flag..
