la différence entre un Afghan Taliban et un Afghan non-Taliban?
Eh bien les
Nations Unies et les USA non plus, avec 35 civils Afghans tués le week end
dernier.
Les Afghans
talibans ou non-talibans se ressemblent de l'extérieur, memes vêtements, memes
chaussures, meme barbe. Autrefois, les militaires se battant avec des armes
s'habillaient avec des habits militaires, pour pouvoir être différentiés des
civils et éviter les erreurs. Ainsi que pour mieux se cacher dans la foret ou
dans le sable... Aujourd'hui, le meilleur camouflage est de s'habiller… en
civil. Et sauver la vie des civils (ou toute vie) ne semble plus être une
priorité. Les affaires et le tourisme dans les pays non en paix va certainement
ralentir dans les années qui viennent. Depuis le début de la guerre plus de
2,500 civils ont perdu la vie en Afghanistan dues aux armes des Nations Unies
et des USA, tirs par erreur. Cela veut dire plus de 50,000 Afghans (familles et
amis compris) qui soutiennent maintenant le départ des Nations Unies et des USA
d'Afghanistan. Coté support de la population, peut mieux faire...

en Anglais sur l'Internet ne touchera pas les Afghans sans Internet ou qui ne
parlent pas Anglais. Et je n'ai pas trop confiance dans la traduction... Quand
a enseigner l'Anglais a tous les Afghans, ce n'est sans doute pas faisable, et
sans doute pas la meilleure idée en ce moment. Les armes sont faites pour tuer,
seule la parole peut gagner sans tuer. Communication... Un ancien ministre
Afghan a dit hier a la télévision: on ne peut pas parler aux talibans... Alors
le plan est de… tous les tuer?... y compris toute personne opposée a la
presence des Nations Unies ou USA en Afghanistan?... Une fois de plus, les
objectifs militaires journaliers ou hebdomadaires sont clairs, et les
militaires font leur devoir en croyant fermement qu'il est nécessaire pour
gagner la paix, au risque de leur propre vie. Merci a tous.
Mais l'objectif
stratégique civil n'a pas été défini, ou n'est pas clair. Vous voulez un
exemple?
Que veut
dire"gagner la guerre contre les talibans" pour les USA ou les
Nations Unies?... Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan... Combien de vies civiles a
perdre encore avant que les Nations Unies et les USA réalisent que vous ne
pouvez pas gagner une paix durable avec des armes. La télévision, le transport
aérien, l'Internet, nous sommes entourés par la communication.
La seule
solution durable viendra de la communication. Que diriez-vous d'un département
"Paix et Communication" aux Nations Unies, avec des gens convaincus
qu’aucune guerre n'est acceptable, et que toute vie au Village est toute aussi
importante. Et qu'il est plus important d'obtenir une Paix durable peut-être
non equitable pour les deux parties que de gagner une guerre juste aux yeux des
deux parties.

Afghan?
Well, neither do the United Nations and USA military, with 35 Afghan
civilians killed last week-end. From the outside, talibans and non-taliban
Afghans look alike, same clothing, same shoes, same beard.
Many
years ago, people fighting with weapons used to dress up in military clothing,
so they could easily be separated from civilians to avoid mistakes. And also to
be less visible if hiding in the forest, or in the sand. Today, the best
camouflage is… plain civil clothes. And saving civilian lives (or any life)
does not seem to be the priority. Business and tourism in many countries not at
peace will certainly decline over the next few years. Since the beginning of
the war, over 2,500 civilians have lost their lives in Afghanistan to United
Nations / USA weapons, by mistake. That probably means over 50,000 Afghans
(families and friends) now routing for United Nations and USA to get out of
Afghanistan.
Talk
about winning the support of the population... Saying sorry in English on the
Internet will not reach Afghans without Internet or without knowledge of
English. And I have my doubts about any translation... As for teaching English to all the Afghan population, it is probably not feasible, nor probably welcome
at this time. Weapons are designed to kill. Only speech can win without killing.
Communication...
A former minister of Afghanistan said on television yesterday: you cannot talk
to talibans... So the plan is to kill all of them?... including anyone against
the presence of United Nations / USA in Afghanistan?... Once again daily or
weekly military objectives are clear, and military people do what they are told
with the belief that it is necessary to win peace, at their own life cost.
Thanks to all. But overall strategic civil objective has not been defined, or
is not clear. You want an exemple? what does "winning war against
Talibans" mean for the USA, or the United Nations?... Vietnam, Iraq,
Afghanistan... How many more civilians to be killed before United Nations and
USA understand that you cannot win a lasting peace with weapons. Television,
airplanes, Internet, we are surrounded by communication. The only lasting
solution can come from communication. How about a public "Peace and
Communication" department in the United Nations organisation, made of
people fully convinced that no war is acceptable, and that each and every life
is as important in the Village? And that it is more important to win a lasting
Peace somewhat unsatisfactory to both parties than to win a just war in both
parties' eyes.
