Based on the tremendous cost and cost overruns of the Lockheed Martin F-35, I have asked Boeing to price-out a comparable F-18 Super Hornet!

Les Etats Unis ont decide une taxe de 220% sur la vente d'avions canadiens Bombardiers type C aux Etats Unis. La raison serait les subventions des gouvernements canadiens et québécois a Bombardier (alors que ce ne sont officiellement que des prêts, alors que les Etats Unis avaient prêté a 0% aux entreprises en faillite lors du dernier crash boursier, et alors que les Etats Unis ont subventionnes Boeing au fil des ans avec des commandes a des prix non compétitifs...).

Boeing a porté plainte contre Bombardier, meme si ils ne produisent pas vraiment un appareil comparable... On peut donc parler de decision politique.

Plutot que d'attaquer commercialement la Chine de front (leur banquier...) les USA ont decide d'attaquer leur voisin du nord, pays des ours polaires, des Caribous, et des gens civilises, épris de paix et (trop) polis.... Et plutot que d'attendre la renegotiation en cours du traite ALENA entre le Canada les USA et le Mexique, les USA ont voulu marquer un point et frapper les esprits, surtout en Chine et au Mexique, juste avant que leur president ne se rende en Chine le mois procchain....

Ils ont choisi le mauvais exemple et rompu une amitié indéfectible dans tous les domaines avec un pays dont ils partagent une frontière de plus de 3000 km de long, plutôt calme et pas très surveillée.

Mais attendez...
Le Canada a acheté des avions de chasse américains F35, un programme en retard et hors budget, pour lequel ils continuent de payer des milliards par an. Pour cela, les canadiens ont abandonne leur propre programme d'avion de chasse, un avion très performant.

Très peu de pays avaient accepte de participer au programme de développement de cet avion de chasse F35 américain: le Canada, l'Australie, l'Angleterre, l'Italie et la Turquie. Pardon... et le Danemark et la Norvège...

Le Canada devrait exiger la livraison des avions de chasse américains commandés pour le prix annoncé au debut du programme. Ce n'est pas le role des contribuables canadiens, en payant le dépassement de budget, de subventionner des emplois aux Etats Unis, n'est-ce pas...?

Et le Canada devrait imposer une pénalité de retard de 3% par an de retard (année entamée...) sur la date prévue lors de la signature de l'accord. J'entends pour la livraison d'un appareil prêt a combattre et exempt de tout défaut (plus de 200 défauts trouvés dans un rapport fin 2016 - structure, logiciel,...).

Chiche Mr Trudeau...!?!!

Il est temps que le Canada réalise qu'il n'y a rien a attendre de ce gouvernement américain qui n'a pas compris que la Terre est un Village, qui ne rêve que de murs, d'emplois américains pour mieux exporter, et de grandeur militaire passée de l'empire américain.

The USA have decided to impose a 220% penalty tax on the sales of planes by Bombardier (Canada) in the USA. The reason would be the the help that the Canadian and Quebec governments gave to Bombardier (while they are only loans, while the USA had loan at 0% to the bankrupted businesses after the Wall street crash, and while the USA have helped Boeing over the years with orders at non competitive prices...).

Boeing has brought the case against Bombardier, even if they did not have a similar plane to offer... So we can call it a political decision.

Rather than attack upfront commercially China (their bank loan manager...) the USA have decided to attack their northern neighbor, a country of polar bears, mooses,, and civilized people, searching for peace and very (too much?) polite.... And rather than wait for the renegotiation in progress of the ALENA treaty between Canada, the USA and Mexico, the USA have chosen to score a point and impress the spirits, mainly in China and Mexico... before their President goes to China next month...

They have chosen the wrong example and broken a long standing friendship in all domains, with a country sharing a 3,000 km border with them, a rather calm and unchecked border.

Wait a minute...
Canada bought American fighter planes F35, a program very late and over budget, for which they keep paying billions every  year. For that, they did abandon their own fighter plane program, a very performing plane.

Very few countries had accepted to participate to this program of developing the American F35 fighter plane: Canada, Australia, England, UK, Italy and Turkey. Sorry... and Denmark and Norway...

Canada should insist on getting the American fighter planes at the price agreed upon on the original contract. It is not up to the Canadian taxpayers, by paying this overrun, to subvention jobs in the USA, is not it...?

And Canada should also impose a penalty clause of 3% per year of delay (year started...) beyond the date mentioned in the original contract. For the delivery of a plane ready to fight and free of any defaults (more than 200 defaults found in a report at the end of  2016 - structure, software,...).

Are you game Mr Trudeau...!?!!

It is about time that Canada realize that there is nothing good to expect from this American government which has not understood that Earth is a Village, and which only dreams of walls, of American jobs to better export, and of the glorious past military supremacy of the American empire.
