Il y a 10 ans, a San Antonio, au Texas, j’avais vu une pancarte a l’entrée d’une église franciscaine :

"Merci de déposer vos armes avant d’entrer dans cette église”…

Je pensais que c’était une blague… eh bien non.

Quatre états de plus aux Etats Unis viennent d’autoriser les gens a porter un revolver chargé caché sur eux, et d’entrer dans un restaurant ou un bar. La législation a été passée grâce a l’aide de la NRA qui a mis en avant le droit des citoyens à se défendre en tout temps, pas seulement a la maison. Et 20 autres Etats n’ont pas de loi pour autoriser ou interdire ce port d’armes chargées cachées sur la personne.

Je ne suis pas intéressé d’avoir pour voisin une personne avec une arme chargée et cachée dans un restaurant ou un bar. Alors je vais me procurer la liste des Etats qui autorisent ce port d’armes chargées et cachées sur la personne dans les bars et restaurants, et je ferais en sorte de ne jamais les visiter, a commencer par l’état de Tennessee et Nashville, la capitale de la musique country.

Ten years ago in San Antonio, Texas, I saw a sign at the entrance of a Franciscan church: "Please let your guns at the entrance of the church"… I thought it was a joke… it was not.

Four more States in the USA just authorized people carrying a concealed loaded gun and entering in a restaurant or in a bar. The legislation was passed thanks to the help of the National Rifle Association which has been putting forward the right of citizens to defend themselves in any occasion, not just at home. And 20 or so other States do not have a law for or against this concealed weapon policy.

I for one do not fancy sitting in a restaurant or a bar allowing my neighbor to carry a hidden loaded gun. 

So I will get the list of the States which allow this hidden loaded gun policy in bars and restaurants and will make sure I do not go and visit them, starting with the State of Tennessee and Nashville, capital of country music.
