Le lobby très puissant des armes a feu aux USA (NRA = National Rifle Association) a été lâché par plusieurs compagnies cette année:
- La Loyd refuse maintenant de les assurer. Deux autres sociétés d'assurance ont coupe leurs liens avec le Lobby.
- Hertz, la banque Omaha et une dizaine d autres entreprises ont également coupe tout lien avec le Lobby des armes a feu.
Et cette semaine l'association des médecins américains s'en est pris au lobby en demandant l'interdiction des armes semi-automatiques et un meilleur contrôle des armes enregistrées. La NRA leur a répondu de s'occuper de leurs affaires... ce a quoi l'association des médecins a répondu que c’était leur affaire car ils étaient fatigués de réparer les dégâts des balles des fusils semi automatiques sur les corps des jeunes américains ou d'avoir a annoncer aux parents que leur jeune n'avait pas pu être sauve dans la salle d'operation d'urgence.
Aux prochaines elections américaines en 2020, pour le president et le Congres, je pense que le débat va enfin être sur la place publique, pour la premiere fois aux USA.
Trois commentaires:
1. Les armes semi-automatiques étaient interdites jusqu’à ce que le president Bush jr décide de ne PAS renouveler l interdiction... Au fait, pourquoi le président Obama ne l'a-t-il pas renouvelée quand il avait le contrôle du Congres?... d'autres priorités...? comme quoi...?
2. La Constitution des USA prévoit que chaque citoyen a le droit d’être armé pour se défendre. Admettons, mais dans ce cas, il faudrait appliquer l'article seulement aux armes en vente a l’époque de la signature de la Constitution... c'est a dire le revolver a 6 coups, le fusil a deux coups. Plus bien sur le couteau et... l'arc et les flèches.
3. Il y a des milliers d'avocats aux USA... ou des millions peut-être...? Alors... je me demande comment la NRA, les presidents et les membres du Congres américain depuis Bush Jr (y compris...) vont réagir quand une association de parents dont les enfants ont été tués par une arme automatique va les mettre en justice pour "non-assistance a personne en danger", puisque le danger était avéré et reconnu... avec l'interdiction précédente des armes a feu automatiques...

The powerful USA lobby of the fire arms (NRA = National Rifle Association) has been dropped by many companies this year:
- The Loyd now refuses to insure them. Two other insurance companies have severed their ties with them too.
- Hertz, the Bank of Omaha and another dozen businesses have also severed their ties with the fire arms lobby.
And this week the Association of the American doctors has gone after them asking for the semi-automatic fire arms to be forbidden, and for the registered fire arms to be better monitored. The NRA has answered them to mind their own business... so the answer of the doctors association came back quickly, saying that it was their business since they were getting tired repairing the damages caused by the semi automatic firearms onto the bodies of the American young people or having to announce to parents of young ones that their young one could not b saved in the emergency room.
At the next American elections in 2020, for the President and the Congress, I think that the debate is finally going to be held, publicly, for the first time in the USA.
Three comments:
1. The semi-automatic firearms were forbidden until President Bush Jr decided NOT to renew the interdiction... By the way, why did not President Obama renew it when he had control of the Congress?... other priorities...? like what...?
2. The Constitution of the USA specifies that each citizen has the right to bear a fire arm to defend himself (herself). OK, but in this case, this article should apply only to the firearms on sale at the time of the signature of the Constitution... ie the 6 bullets colt and the 2 bullets gun. Of course also the knife and.... the bow and arrows.
3. There are thousands of lawyers in the USA... maybe millions...? Then... I was wondering how the NRA, the American Presidents and the members of the American Congress since President Bush Jr (included...) are going to react when an association of parents having lost their kids to semi-automatic fire arms is going to take them to court for "non-assistance to person in danger", since the danger was real and identified... with the previous forbidden sales of semi automatic fire arms...
