Aujourd’hui est
le jour de la Femme au Village.
Je suppose que un souhait pourrait être « Plus
de bonheur et de paix, vos droits sont égaux a ceux des hommes ».
Mais aux
milliers de femmes qui viennent de perdre leurs maris, pères ou fils en
Tunisie, Egypte ou Libye, ou aux millions de femmes qui n’ont pas encore le
droit de vote ou d’être élues en Arabie Saoudite ou dans d’autres pays, ou aux
millions de femmes qui cherchent toujours de l’eau potable ou des médicaments
pour leurs enfants, on leur dit quoi… ?
Today
is day of the Woman in the Village.
I guess a wish to formulate could be “Have
a happier and more peaceful life, your rights are equal to those of the men”.
But to the thousands of women who just lost their husbands, fathers and sons in
Tunisia, Egypt or Libya, or to the millions of women who do not have yet the
right to vote or to be elected in Saudi Arabia and other countries, or to the
millions of women who are still looking for potable water or medicine for their
children, what do we tell them…?
