Chaise vide... aux Etats Unis / Empty chair... in the United States

Les conventions démocrate et républicaine ont choisi leurs candidats a l'élection présidentielle américaine. Aucune surprise...

- Mr Romney et Mr Obama vont représenter les espoirs de 300 millions d'américains. Tous les deux veulent défendre en priorité la famille américaine moyenne. Jusque la, tout va bien...
- Les Démocrates veulent supprimer les exemptions fiscales qui profitent aux personnes les plus riches et aux entreprises pétrolières entre autres, et taxer un peu plus les riches, mais... a un niveau beaucoup plus bas que le contribuable moyen en Europe de l'Ouest...
Ils veulent aussi garder le rôle du gouvernement dans certains travaux d'infrastructure ou dans la protection sociale ou médicale des plus démunis.
Politique étrangère... réduite a... soutenir Israel,... on ne parle plus de redresser le monde et de lui montrer l'exemple, crise financière oblige...
Les Républicains leur reprochent d'être socialistes, injure suprême aux Etats Unis, enfin juste en-dessous d'être appelés communistes.
- Les Républicains veulent diminuer le rôle et les effectifs du gouvernement, ce qui leur permettrait de ne pas augmenter les taxes. Politique étrangère... réduite a... soutenir Israel, augmenter le budget militaire au-delà des demandes de l'armée elle même... et empêcher les martiens de débarquer... pardon: empêcher un 21 ème siècle chinois...

Pas un mot des deux partis sur...

- le contrôle des armes a feu aux Etats Unis,

- la lutte anti-drogue a l'intérieur des Etats Unis,

- le litre d'essence toujours sous les 80 centimes le litre,

- la fermeture des casinos financiers aux Etats Unis pour doubler le cash disponible aux entreprises pour investir et créer des emplois,

- le développement des énergies propres, la réduction de la consommation énergétique, la lutte contre le réchauffement du Village (ca viendra sans doute quand les palmiers de Floride et de Californie pousseront en Alaska...)

- l'application de la résolution de 1947 des Nations Unies reconnaissant la création immédiate de deux états, Israel et la Palestine,

- la reconnaissance du tribunal international de justice de La Haye, et l'abandon du droit de véto au conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies (avec tous les autres pays ayant droit de véto bien sur),

- une position claire sur les atermoiements de l'Iran et les déclarations inadmissibles de son président annonçant la destruction de l'Etat d'Israel.

Sur tous ces sujets brulants, les deux candidats ont choisi la politique de la chaise vide... les absents finissent toujours par avoir tort...

The Democrat and Republican conventions have chosen their candidates for the election of the American President. No surprises...

- Mr Romney and Mr Obama are going to represent the hopes of 300 millions of Americans. Both want to defend in priority the average American family. So far, so good....

- The Democrats want to cancel the fiscal exemptions which benefit the richest people and the petroleum companies among others, but... at a level far lower than the rate applied to the average taxpayer in western Europe... They also want to keep the role of the government in ordering some major infrastructures or medical protection of the people with lower revenues. Foreign policy... shrunk to... defend Israel,... nothing anymore on straightening up the world and showing the world the example, put this on the account of the financial crisis... The Republicans are calling them... socialists, supreme insult in the United States, just below being called a communist...

- The Republicans want to reduce the role and the people in the government, which would allow them not to raise taxes. Foreign policy... shrunk to... defend Israel,... increase the military budget beyond what was requested by the army itself and prevent the Martians to land on Earth... sorry: prevent a Chinese 21st century...

Not a word from either political party on...

- gun control in the United States,

- drugs control within the United States,

- a liter of gas still under 80 cents,

- closing the financial casinos in the United States to double the cash available for the industrials to invest and create jobs,

- developing new clean energies, reducing energy consumption, acting against the warming up of the Village (it will probably come when Florida and California palm trees will grow in Alaska...)

- implementing the 1947 resolution of the United States recognizing the immediate creation of two states, Israel and Palestine,

- recognizing the international court of justice of The Hague, and abandoning the veto right at the United Nations (with all the other countries having a right of veto of course),

- a clear position on the wishy-washy stands from Iran and the non acceptable declaration of its President regarding the destruction of the state of Israel.

On all these burning issues, both candidates chose the policy of the empty chair... those who are absent always end up being proven wrong...
