Mafia Montreal

De 1130 a 1816, la Sicile et la Calabre étaient un seul royaume. Puis les révoltes paysannes survinrent, et finalement, elles rejoignirent l’Italie en 1860 sous la gouverne de Garibaldi.

Dans les années 1960s, la mafia a Montréal était dans les mains de familles italiennes calabraises, expertes dans la protection et le racket. Elles répondaient a une famille importante mafieuse de New York, et les apprentis mafieux qui arrivaient d’Italie faisaient leurs armes a Montréal avant d’être envoyés a New York.
Vers la fin des années 1970s, le patron de la mafia Calabraise a été tue dans sa cuisine au travers d’une fenêtre. Sous quelques années, une famille italienne sicilienne, les Rizutto, prit le contrôle de la mafia a Montréal après la mort soudaine de plusieurs autres patrons calabrais, mais l’un d’entre eux a survécu, Joe Di Maulo. Il a maintenant 70 ans. Lorsque les familles Calabraises ou Siciliennes étaient au pouvoir a Montréal, elles avaient apparemment toutes les deux le même rapport avec la même famille mafieuse
de New York.
Vito Rizutto, le fils du patriarche Calabrais, a été mis en prison en 2004 et a purge sa peine aux Etats Unis. Pendant qu’il était en prison, Montréal a continue a vivre… en 2009 son fils a été tue, en 2010 son père a été tue dans sa maison au travers d’une fenêtre, en présence de sa femme, et quelques uns de ses lieutenants ont aussi été tues pour faire bonne mesure…
En Octobre 2012, le mois dernier, Vito Rizzuto a été relâché de sa prison américaine et est revenu a Montréal. La police de Montréal était sur ses gardes… et depuis ce jour lit les journaux tous les matins…
Eh bien… Joe Di Maulo, le patriarche Calabrais, a été tué Dimanche soir, devant sa maison, avec sa famille a l’intérieur.

In the 1960s, the mafia in Montreal was in the hands of Italian Calabria families, experts in protection and racketing. They were answering to a major mafia family in New York, and apprentices would come from Italy and go through training in Montreal before being sent to New York...

Late 1970s, the boss of the Calabria mafia was killed in his kitchen through a window.

Within a couple of years, an Italian Sicilian family, the Rizutto, took over the control of the mafia in Montreal after other Calabria top bosses were killed, but one of them, Joe Di Maulo escaped the purge. He is now 70 years old.

When Calabria or Sicilian families were in power in Montreal, they apparently both kept ties with the same mafia family in New York.

Vito Rizutto, the son of the Calabria patriarch, was jailed in 2004 and extraded a few years ago to the United States.

While he was in jail, Montreal kept going... in 2009 his son was killed, in 2010 his father was killed in his home through a window, with his wife present, and a few of his former close associates were also killed to make good measure...

In October 2012, last month, Vito Rizzuto was released from an American jail and returned to Montreal. Montreal police was apprehensive... and has been reading newspapers every morning since then..

Well... Joe Di Maulo, the Calabrian patriarche, was killed Sunday evening, in front of his home, with his family inside the home.
