Les temps sont en train de changer... chantait Bob Dylan en 1964... il y a plus de 50 ans... "Apprenez a nager" disait-il entre autres, car les oceans montent...
Les temps changent pour les États Unis... ils ne sont plus la seule puissance militaire et financière qui écrase le reste du Village, mais surtout... on remarque leur impuissance a faire reculer la pauvreté (Hispaniques et Noirs en particulier); a faire cesser les massacres a l'arme automatique dans leurs espaces publics (écoles, commerces,...); a faire cesser ou réduire les morts par overdose ou la consommation de drogues dures qui alimente les caisses des cartels en Amérique hispanique et les assassinations dans ces pays; a ne pas respecter la vie en massacrant des civils innocents au Moyen Orient, parfois par vente d'armes interposée. Sans parler du traitement dès le debut des premieres nations établies sur leur territoire. Il me semble que tout ceci devrait suffire a les disqualifier pour donner des leçons de bonne conduite au reste du Village...?
La Chine n'est plus un territoire a conquérir par l'Occident, les temps changent... La Chine est pratiquement devenue la premiere puissance commerciale dans le Village, et talonne les États Unis en terme de puissance financière, d'ambition spatiale ou de puissance, recherche et développement en informatique. Bien sur elle garde toujours la priorité sur le bien commun ("communiste"), l'amelioration du bien être de ses citoyens, la diminution notable réussie de la pauvreté dans le pays, ou plus de lignes de TGV construits chaque année que dans toute France. Mais bon, le revers de la médaille est que le gouvernement decide de ce qui est bon pour vous, que le système electoral assure la victoire au parti communiste au pouvoir, et que la justice n'est pas indépendante, et vous pourrez être emprisonne ou mis au travail... pour votre bien. Mais bon, pratiquement pas de meurtres de masse et pratiquement pas d'assassination de civils innocents en interne ou en externe au pays.
Les deux pays pratiquent la surveillance de leurs citoyens, depuis des dizaines d'annees pour les USA, un peu plus récemment pour la Chine... match nul.
Dernière difference entre les deux pays... les États Unis ont 2 pays voisins: au sud le Mexique et au nord les ours polaires et les caribous, je veux dire le Canada. Les Chinois eux ont 17 pays voisins, et voient rouge si l'integrite territoriale de leur pays est menacée... Le Tibet, Hong Kong et le Xin Jian (Ouighours) sont trois examples récents, ou la Chine ne va pas ménager les investissements d'infrastructure ou culturels pour développer ces territoires et faire taire les rebelles indépendantistes. A votre avis, lequel des deux pays a un budget militaire 4 fois plus important que l'autre...? celui avec 2 voisins ou celui avec 17 voisins...? Il faut donc rajouter le commerce des armes au compte des États Unis... pour le bien du Village...? J'en doute personnellement...

La Chine ne mets pas la priorité sur les libertés...
A quoi tenez vous le plus... votre vie ou votre liberté...? la vie est faite de choix difficiles...

Times are changing for the USA... they are no more the powerful military force and financial force which dominates alone the rest of the Village, but mainly... we can see they are powerless to win against poverty in their country (Black and Hispanic communities in particular); powerless to stop the massacres with automatic weapons in their public spaces (schools, shops,...); powerless to stop or reduce the deaths by overdose or the consumption of narcotics which feeds the cartels in Hispanic America and fuels the murders in these countries; and they do not respect the life of innocent civilians in the Middle East, sometimes through their sale of weapons. And we are not talking about the treatment of the First Nations established on their territories. It seems to me that all that should be plenty enough to disqualify them from giving lessons on human rights to the rest of the Village...?
China is not anymore a territory to conquer for the Western World, the times are changing... China has basically become the first commercial power in the Village, and is right behind the USA for financial capacity, space ambitions, or computer power, development and applications. Of course China still keeps as a priority the well being of all (common good - "communist"), the improvement of the well being of all citizens, the successful reduction of poverty across the country, or more kms of High Speed Trans every year than the whole French network. But wait, there are two sides to a coin, and the government will decide what is good for you, the voting system insures the win of the communist party in power, and the justice is not really independent, and you can be jailed or put to work... for your own good. But on the other hand, basically no mass murders in the country and no assassination of innocent civilians in the country or abroad.
Both countries have been watching over their citizens, for dozens of years for the USA, a few years less for China... it's a draw.
Last difference between both countries... the USA have 2 neighbouring countries: in the South, Mexico, and in the North the polar bears and the mooses, I mean Canada. China has 17 neighbouring countries, and will see red if the integrality of their territory is threatened... Tibet, Hong Kong and the Xin Jian (Uighurs) are three recent exemples, where China will go at length to invest heavily in infrastructures and cultural items to develop these territories and shut off the rebellious independent movements. In your opinion, which of these two countries has a military budget 4 times bigger than the other one...? the one with 2 neighbours or the one with 17 neighbours...? SO we have to add to the sale of weapons to the account of the USA... for the good of the Village...? I doubt it personally...
The USA do not put the priority on any life...
China does not put the priority on any freedom or liberty...
What do you value more... your life or you freedom...? life is made of difficult choices...
Up to you to make a choice. If you can of course...
